Warehouse & Tear-Out Associate | Coralville & Cedar Rapids

Randy’s Flooring is seeking a dependable, motivated Warehouse & Tear-Out Associate to join our team. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations, product deliveries, flooring tear-outs, and overall logistics. If you're a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time, hourly position with work hours of Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturdays (8:00 AM–12:00 PM). Randy’s Flooring is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and accurately select and stage materials for orders
  • Deliver and unload flooring materials at residential and commercial job sites
  • Perform tear-outs and removals of existing flooring, including disposal
  • Safely operate an electric sit-down forklift (or be willing to learn); Perform pre-shift equipment safety checks
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, inventory materials, and restock designated areas
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Stack pallets and dispose of debris appropriately
  • Assist installers by preparing and organizing materials
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse or labor experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Basic math and computer skills required
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs, occasionally 100+lbs
  • Comfortable with frequent bending, twisting, standing, and walking for extended periods
  • Able to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather

Sales Manager

Randy’s Flooring is seeking a dedicated Sales Manager. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing daily sales strategies, setting and monitoring company goals, resolving client and staff disputes, and managing claims, credits, and rebates. As a critical leadership position, the Sales Manager directly impacts company success and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and management skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to achieve organizational goals. This salaried, full-time position requires in-person availability Monday–Friday (8 am–5 pm) with occasional nights and Saturdays.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability to meet quotas
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and managerial skills
  • The ability to work under stress and be flexible with change
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal with Sales people, sub-contractors and customers
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); store system training provided
  • Positive attitude, results-driven mindset, and a desire to succeed

Preferred but not required: Background in flooring or construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Set sales goals, compare performance & adjust goals as needed
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
  • Manage claims, credits, and rebates efficiently.
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Recruit, hire, and train sales team
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to sales team
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
  • Ensure the team is up-to-date on product knowledge and sales technique
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, suggest corrective actions as needed
  • Address staff disputes in a fair and effective manner
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on market intelligence
  • Attend managers’ meetings and contribute to company-wide initiatives
  • Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned

Estimator and Project Coordinator

Randy’s Flooring is seeking a full-time Estimator & Project Coordinator. If you are experienced in flooring and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, we want to hear from you! This position is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of flooring industry experience (required)
  • Strong estimating skills with a proven ability to measure, quote, and plan projects accurately
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications and installation requirements
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to continue learning and growing professionally
  • Self-motivated and career-focused

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate on-site measurements and detailed project estimates for residential and commercial flooring projects
  • Coordinate and manage all phases of a project including client meetings, estimating, scheduling, and follow-up
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Maintain strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and product applications
  • Participation in events and trade shows representing Randy’s Flooring

Experience & Education:

  • 3+ years of experience in the flooring industry (required)
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior estimating experience strongly preferred
  • Construction knowledge and field experience a plus
